They are now seeking a Junior Investment Banking Data Analyst to join their growing analytics and deal support team.

The Role

This position is ideal for an ambitious graduate or early-career professional who wants hands-on exposure within a live investment banking environment. You will support senior analysts and transaction teams by transforming complex financial data into structured insight used for client decisions.

This is not a back-office reporting role you will work closely with front-office professionals on real mandates.

Core Responsibilities

  • Interpreting and structuring financial datasets for transaction use
  • Assisting in company valuations and comparable analysis
  • Supporting M&A and capital raising projects
  • Building and refining financial spreadsheets
  • Preparing analytical summaries for pitch presentations
  • Conducting sector research and performance benchmarking
  • Maintaining clean, accurate deal tracking systems

 

Salary & Incentive Structure

Base Salary: £37,000 – £44,000

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting or related discipline
  • Strong numerical reasoning ability
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Understanding of financial statements and valuation principles
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment

 

Desirable:

  • Exposure to financial modelling
  • Internship or placement in financial services
  • Familiarity with data tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL or Python)
